Where Leaders Are Made

Eloquence chartered on 29 September 2025 and has met on Saturday mornings in Old Baneshwor ever since. Students, engineers, teachers and people between jobs take turns running the meeting, speaking at it, and evaluating each other out loud.

Toastmasters International has run meetings this way since 1924, in more than 140 countries. The method has barely changed: you speak, you are timed, and someone tells you the truth about it afterwards. Members work through Pathways, a set of projects that turns time at the lectern into a record of what you can now do.

Integrity

We say what we mean, on and off the lectern.

Respect

Every speaker gets the room's full attention, first speech or fiftieth.

Service

The meeting runs because members volunteer to run it.

Excellence

Feedback is specific and honest, even when that is uncomfortable to hear.
